January 2010
Bob joined a band! Two Car Pile Up is a band consisting of three guys and two gals. They do an eclectic mix of music. Bob plays a drum that he sits on! No kidding! He loves going to practice and playing a few gigs.
February 2010
I had reconstructive surgery! I was anxious to get the implants in but boy, did I have a surprise waiting for me! Growing a chest is hard work! This beautiful quilt was made for me by my high school friend, Myra.
March 2010
Hans and Franz made their debut! Three weeks after surgery I had my first "fill". Since my goals was to Pump You Up I named my chest Hans and Franz! Bob and I went to see the Doobie Brothers with Ashley and Eric and Renee and Bob. What a fun concert. Ashley and Eric celebrated their second anniversary. I dyed my hair pink and purple for a school contest. That was a lot of fun! I ended up LIKING IT so I left the color in for a month.
April 2010
More "fill ups" this month, every 8-10 days. These babies hurt! I am usually really sore afterwards, too. Ashley was diagnosed with Crohn's in January and by now she has been in the hospital several times. This last time we found out that she has a softball sized abscess in her abdomen. They had to drain it and she was in the hospital several days. She has amazing colleagues who helped her grade papers and cover classes. She managed to get her college classes completed, too. She is simply an amazing girl. We don't know how Bob is doing it all, though... between Ashley's hospital visits and my fill ups... Bob and I surprised the students at my school with this grand entrance for MAP week!
Such a hard month. Ashley was in the hospital several times. With the help of her colleagues and professors, she managed to complete the semester in terms of her teaching and her classes. What a great group of people!

Ashley and Eric had us over to their place for a Mothers Day brunch. It was so much fun! I think this is the only photo I have of both of our families together!
June 2010
We participated in our first Relay for Life. The Naught Naught Insurance Agency here in town asked me to be their "poster child." We enjoyed every moment. Ashley had just gotten out of the hospital but was able to be there with her mom.
Ashley had surgery at Barnes to do a resection of her colon. She was in the hospital six days trying hard to recover from this major surgery. Terri had her implants put in... no more fill ups!
July 2010
July was fun! Terri was on vacation, Ashley was recovering and the four of us hit the road... to St. Louis! We gave up a Disney World trip (neither Terri or Ashley could fly) so we spent our vacation time looking around St. Louis. We had a wonderful time eating at wonderful restaurants, sight seeing and meeting with Ashley's doctors from time to time!
We saw a wonderful Cardinals ball game and got to watch in a VIP lounge! Woo Hoo! We had a great time... a good surprise that Bob pulled on us! Eric enjoyed the experience the best!

September 2010
Bob, Ashley, Eric and I participated in Columbia's first Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. It was cold and rainy but we did manage to do at least half of it. It was amazing for me to be around others who understood me and had my experiences. It was also great to see all the caregivers honored. Thank goodness for caregivers! And, volunteers like our friend, Marsha, below!
October 2010
Bob's school has been so supportive during our breast cancer treatment. We couldn't have asked for more love to be showered down on us. At the end of the month, for my one year anniversary of being cancer free, the Lewis and Clark staff asked me to walk the first lap of their relay as the guest of honor. I was so honored to be asked!

Bob is our master chef. He has cooked several wonderful meals this year that we all have been fortunate enough to eat. We particularly love his tailgate parties!
December 2010
We are experiencing many blessings this December. Terri's check ups with the oncologist continue to be good reports. Ashley's last visit with her gastrointerologist was fabulous as she learned she is now in remission. No medicine changes were needed! We fell to our knees praising God for that one! Ashley is beginning to put her application in for jobs in her field, as her anticipated graduation date (May 2011) is drawing near. Bob and I are having to deal with the thought of Ashley being in another state. We will just make her home our designated vacation spot!
We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May all of you have peace and joy in 2011!
Love,
Bob, Terri, Ashley and Eric
